This is a simulation of plant growth, it uses L-Systems to generate the branching and rooting of seeds placed, as well as several changeable stimuli which can affect the shape and growth rate of the plants. You can design new unique plants by changing their responses to stimuli and the underlying L-System that shapes them.

This was created as my NEA (Non-Exam Assessment) for the AQA Computer Science A-Level and was awarded 92% of the mark (an A* Grade). Despite this there may be a few performance issues and bugs in the simulation, however, it is still fun to play around with and helpful in plant biology education.

The simulation requires little graphical power and computational power, as well as little storage to run, however, if long simulations involving a large number of plants are wanted large memory (RAM) requirements are needed (8GB+).

Note: This application was made for Windows 10/11 and requires several packages (SQL, .NET Framework) to function, therefore It may not work on other platforms, and may not work on Windows until these packages are installed.
